We are delighted to host our second ‘British Saints’ gathering at St Seraphim’s with the theme of Sacred Landscapes.  Following the success of last year’s inaugural conference we have put together a new, exciting, and varied programme with a wonderful line-up of speakers and contributions including the Rt Revd Dr Rowan Williams (former Archbishop of Canterbury), Dr Martin Shaw, Paul Kingsnorth, and Professor Marcus Plested.  Tickets can be booked here.  Full programme available shortly.

This event is organized as part of our 2026 fund-raising campaign for urgent repairs and upgrades to the buildings of the old railway station.  Thank you so much for supporting us as we embark on a new chapter in the life of St Seraphim’s Trust.

On the evening of Friday 15th May, and all day Saturday 16th May, and Sunday 17th May, a series of talks, poetry readings, story-telling, and live musical performances will explore ways in which Christians today can connect with the saints of these islands focusing on the theme of sacred landscape. The conference is hosted by St Seraphim’s Chapel, which is situated in Walsingham’s former Victorian railway station. The Chapel was founded by Fr David in 1967 as a centre of Orthodox Christian iconography and worship.

Talks will take place in Walsingham Parish Hall. Services will be held in St Seraphim’s Chapel.  The Museum and Icon Studio will be open during the conference and home to an art fair featuring the work of Orthodox artisans including original artwork, weaving, and ceramics.

Accommodation can be booked directly with the Catholic Shrine at Elmham House by calling: 01328 820217 or emailing: reservations@walsingham.org.uk Please let them know that you wish to book accommodation as part of the St Seraphim’s group booking (for reduced group rates), [n.b. their online booking service will not link you to our group tariff].
