The Quiet Garden
The Quiet Garden which used to be the railway workers allotments has been developed Into a natural space which complements the spirituality of the Chapel and provides a calming and natural reflective space for use by pilgrims, visitors and the local community, of all faiths and none. Volunteers continue to care for and develop the garden.
In the garden room is a display of artefacts and photographs that illustrate the history of the railway and the station building.
The Quiet Garden is open everyday from 9am – dusk. entry is free, donations towards the upkeep are always gratefully received. The garden is maintained entirely by volunteers. More volunteers are always welcome and our friendly non-denominational wellbeing gardening group meets every Monday from 10.30am – 1.30pm (unless raining) No gardening experience is needed. Morning tea is provided.
It was opened to the public in June 2015 by Jonathan, Bishop of Lynn.

Features include:
- Disabled access to the garden via a ramp from Station Road.
- Several small shelters which may be used for activities.
- The Garden Room is available for visitors and is also available for hire.
- Visitor toilet
- Restored lamp and oil shed.
- A shaded pergola.
